Margaret Shepherd

RESUME

Margaret Shepherd is a well-known calligrapher and author. Her 15 published books have helped make calligraphy accessible to a large public worldwide. She has researched, taught, written, freelanced, and exhibited extensively. In February 2001 she introduced her book Learn Calligraphy with "A Boston Calligraphy Discovery," a lecture, exhibition, and monumental installation at the Boston Public Library that also created the "Boston Calligraphy Trail." A similar exhibition in January 2002 introduced her new book, The Art of the Hand-written Note, A Guide to Reclaiming Civilized Communication (Broadway Books/RandomHouse). She has recently taken on the role of spokesperson for Campfire USA's annual letter-writing day.
