PAST EXHIBITIONS
1999 "A Few Words Tuned," an exhibition and lecture at the Wallace Stevens Birthday Bash, Hartford Public Library, where her rendering of "The Common Life" is permanently installed in that library's Wallace Stevens Reading Room.
1970-2000 Ms Shepherd's original calligraphy is in the collection of the Rare Books Department in the Boston Public Library, and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum (Smithsonian) in New York City, where it was featured in their 1982 show, "Writing and Reading."
Her 60-piece permanent memorial installation at the First and Second Church in Boston was introduced in 1980 with her lecture and exhibition at the Boston Athenaeum, "Letters, Spaces, and People." Small solo shows include Wellesley College Rare Book Library 1974, Lesley College 1973. Ms Shepherd has participated in a juried calligraphy group show, "Calligraphy and the Graphic Arts" at the Master Eagle Gallery in New York City, and in invitational shows, "Anne Bradstreet" at the Massachusetts Historical Society, 'Bookplates' at the Boston Public Library, "Tradition and Transformation" at the Federal Reserve Gallery, "Passages" at the St Botolph Club, and the 1998 members' show at the Boston Athenaeum.
